PHOTOSHOOT SUCCESS: My #1 takeaway to ROCKIN’ your photoshoot.
I definitely learned something new on this one…many things actually. This video shares my #1 takeaway from this shoot with photographer Stephanie Hynes & makeup artist Amber Young, shot in Minneapolis at Lake of the Isles.
On this shoot, the #1 Tip learned was : Communicate. When you are working with professionals, it is like your personal team. It is import
ant to communicate with them because they are there for you, so you don’t have to worry about all the details and running around playing creative director, when you should be having the time of your life, relaxed, and enjoying every second. Your team may include a photographer, hair & makeup artist, wardrobe stylist, photoshoot coach (like me!).

Even after ‘playing’ model for almost 20 years now, I am always learning. Pre-shoot I communicated with my team in a way I never had before- I share a Pinterest board, reviewed wardrobe options piece by piece, talked about the look and feel of every aspect of the shoot. Come shoot day, I was crystal clear on what I wanted to create and so was my team. I felt confident, excited and unstoppable- ready to show myself and shine!
