You? A model? Here’s your chance to live your dream…
Haven’t you always secretly wanted to be a model? At least for maybe a day or two? To feel what it’s like to have that something, that glow,… presence! I always wanted to be a model- like since I was a teeny tiny girl. I was mesmerized by the ‘people’ I saw in magazines and catalogues. ‘How in the world did they get on the pages of those books?’ I used to wonder.
It was something about them that grabbed me. It wasn’t just the beauty, the stylish clothes, flawless skin, or perfect (eh-hem airbrushed) bodies. It was the essence of how they were being. They were expressing themselves- moving, connecting, acting, emoting- and they had presence.
I know we all have our own opinions of what a model is or what it takes to be one- perfect body, skin, unrealistic beauty, a genetic anomaly, eating disorders, etc. But I am also a model. For almost 20 years of my life (and counting) it has been a tremendous growing experience and has urged me to come out of my shell and learn to be comfortable in my skin. Guess what? Its an inside job. Yes, looks matter, but at the end of the day, it’s what goes on between the ears that will make or break you.

You see, after years of playing small in my own way, hiding out behind my own shadow, and filtering myself, I’ve found out the truth about gaining visibility: When we step out, speak up and empower ourselves, we are shining the green light for others to do the same. People respond to that. People see you. They feel you. And you make it ok for them to step out and shine too. Empower yourself. Empower others. Win-win.
I actually like to think of myself (and you, my clients) as a ‘model’ for change- of how women think and feel about themselves and their bodies. Which leads me to this….
